Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. - and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born because of the uncontrolled breeding of pets.  There will never be enough homes for all these animals.  Each year millions of healthy loving cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies will face death at animal shelters.

What was their crime?  What did they do wrong?  They were born.  That's it.  They were just born.  Living creatures have become throwaway items to be cuddled when cute and abandoned when inconvenient. 

Want to know something incredible?  An unspayed dog or cat, her mate and all of their offspring, producing 2 litters per year, with 2.8 surviving puppies or kittens per litter can total 11,801 animals in 5 years! 

Our staff at Ardmore Animal Care, Inc. strive day after day to do all we can to find loving homes for our residents.  However, with 7214 animals arriving at our shelter in just 1 year.  It is literally impossible to find all these wonderful pets homes.  It only stands to reason that an effective spay/neuter program in our community is the only answer to bringing an end to the tragedy of pet overpopulation in our community.
